Inspired by life experiences, global travel, emotions, and the colors and textures of nature, Anjum uses oils and acrylics with a palette knife and unconventional tools, layering impasto strokes to create dynamic abstracts, landscapes, and cityscapes. She describes her art as a personal refuge, a creative innovation that makes her calmer and happier while pushing boundaries with new tools and techniques.
Her achievements include being one of the selected artists from Singapore to exhibit at the Beijing Museum and National Art Gallery in 2024, winning an award at the 17th International Painting and Calligraphy Art Exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Japan in Tokyo (2024), and being featured at the Florence Biennale in 2019 and 2023. She has also been showcased multiple times at the Affordable Art Fair in Singapore. Anjum’s paintings are distinguished by their bold textures, strong strokes, and a myriad of vibrant hues—reds, yellows, oranges, and blues—that create drama and lyrical movement on the canvas. Over the years, her color palette has grown increasingly buoyant, reflecting both her artistic evolution and her commitment to producing works that resonate with energy, strength, and emotional depth.
